DegenDen requires users to have a Telegram username set up before registering.

🚨 If a user does not have a username configured, the bot will prompt them to set one up in Telegram settings before proceeding.

Having a username ensures a unique identity on the platform and allows for a secure, streamlined user experience.

Sanitization of User Input

To maintain a secure and clean user database, DegenDen sanitizes all usernames and display names before storing them.

✔ Sanitizing Username – Removes unwanted characters, allowing only letters, numbers, and select special characters (@, _, .). ✔ Sanitizing Display Name – Further cleanses the username to prevent harmful or unnecessary characters.

This ensures security, consistency, and ease of use across the platform.
